Applying for a transfer through the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has been made easier with the introduction of an online application process. Unlike the previous method of manually submitting forms at the commission's offices, teachers can now conveniently apply for transfers through the TSC transfer portal.

Procedure for Online Transfer Application

To successfully apply for a transfer, follow these steps:

Using a reliable browser like Chrome, access the TSC transfer application portal by visiting the following link: [link removed for security purposes].

A new window will appear, prompting you to enter your TSC number, ID number, and personal mobile phone number. After entering these details, a notification message containing a 6-digit security code will be sent to your phone. Once you receive the code, enter it in the provided field and click the "login" icon to proceed.

Upon logging in, the system will automatically identify whether you are a primary or post-primary teacher.

In the current window, click on "submit a request for transfer" to proceed with your application.
  • Enter the following details accurately: Period of stay at your current station (school).
  • Period of stay in the same sub-county.
  • Reason for applying for a transfer.
  • Desired effective date of the transfer.
  • County.
  • Sub-county.
  • School.
  • Personal email address.
After filling in all the required details, ensure that you tick the small box next to the TSC declaration. Double-check that all the information is filled correctly, and then click "ok."

The portal will generate a window displaying your current school and the requested county for transfer. If your transfer is based on insecurity or medical grounds, you can click on the "file attachments" tab to attach any necessary supporting documents. Select the documents from your device by clicking on "browse." Once you have attached all the required documents, click "ok."

Finally, confirm that all the attached documents are in order, and then click the "submit" button. Once your application is successfully delivered, the status will change to "pending." The application status may change over time, so make sure to check periodically.

Remember to click "logout" to exit the portal, as the remaining steps will be handled by the principal or headteacher of your current station.
