Get your favorite ring back tunes that callers will hear before you receive their phone calls using the Orange Telkom hello tunes service. This ring back tune automatically replaces the default tones used by network operators to alert the caller when their phone call have gone through before the recipient terminates or receives the call. Orange Telkom subscribers can register for the service in three simple steps

  1. Subscribers must register for the Orange Telkom service, after which a default ring back tune "Twende Twende" is allocated on the subscriber’s phone number.
  2. After registration, download your preferred ring back tone(s) into your Ring Back Tone (RBT) account
  3. Then set your desired ring back tone(s)
  4. You can decide to set the ring back tone as a default tone for all callers or set the ring back tone for a specific person
 How to register and Subscribe to Orange Telkom Hello Tunes Service
  • Create a new text message with the word “ON” and send to 1351 or alternatively, dial 134 on your mobile phone and follow the prompts.
  • To download your preferred ring back tone, create a new text message with the word “get + song code” e.g. get71010 and send to 1351.
  • For multiple tones, create a new text message with the words “get+ song code+space+song code+…” e.g. to download 3 songs, send the word get222222 99999 36666 or alternatively dial 134 and follow the prompts.
  • To use the tone, create a text message with the word “set+ song code” e.g. set 22222 and send to 1351.
  • You can also copy your favorite ring back tune when you hear it while calling orange mobile numbers. Dial 1# while listening to the tune; you will receive a text message ‘you have successfully copied the tune, name of tune for ksh.x the tone expires on x/x/xxxx ’ and the tone will automatically be set as your default tone.
To delete a Hello tune
  • Create a new text message with the word “del” + code e.g. del22222 and send to 1351 or call 134 and follow the prompts.
To query one's tune list:
  • Create a new text message with the word "qpsl" and send to 1351
To query a code to get details of on tune:
  • Create a new text message with the word "qcod701114" and send to 1351
To unsubscribe from Hello Tunes:
  • Create a new text message with the word "off" send to 1351, you will receive a text message indicating that you have successfully cancelled your Hello tunes service.
